The term Value-Added Distributor (VAD) is used frequently today.
It was originally created to describe the act of doing something more than just supplying IT software and hardware to reseller partners, in a two-tier channel model.
It was meant to differentiate those organisations that work with vendors to develop vibrant self-sufficient channels of partners and accelerate growth, from those organisations that just perform logistics and finance operations.
Unfortunately, the popularity of the term has meant that most IT distributors now describe themselves as a VAD, but very few of them operate a value-proposition that support this description.
Spectrami is the ultimate VAD, in that we work in partnership with each technology vendor to understand what their goals and ambitions are in each territory. We then work together to establish the resources required to execute on these goals. Spectrami then implements all of the resources that the vendor is unable or unwilling to implement themselves, in order to meet the business objectives.
It sounds simple, but there is a lot of skill and experience required to operate a true VAD, and deliver wide and rapid market coverage for emerging technology vendors.
Spectrami employs experienced teams, with pragmatic real-world business experience, to deliver on this proposition.
